OK, she had to admit it. She was a brilliant pony. It wasn't your normal filly who could make a bits gun out of a cash register, ticket machine and popcorn popper. Dash turned to see how the other two were faring. Octavia tucked her mane behind one ear and surveyed her result. A few strings from her broken cello and some goose tape, and she had an effective razor sharp whip. Soarin was having some trouble coming up with any sort of weapon, so Dash decided to lend a hoof. Trotting over to the small group of arcade games in one corner of the theater, she pulled one of the blasters off of the game Parasprite Busters: Garrison of Gobbling, and after some finagling, she produced a makeshift tazer and handed it to a gaping Soarin.

Dawn broke slowly on Manehattan. The city was already awoken and full of noise - of course, Manehattan was possibly the one area of Equestria that never slept - but now there was the distinct sounds of hustling and bustling; morning workers piling into offices and setting up for a day's work; market stalls being constructed and furnished, laden with goods of all kinds to sell in the squares; retailers turning over the "CLOSED" signs on their shop windows and opening the doors wide to custom. Ponies of all kinds were waking in a way that was clouded over with disappointment and dread; even the weather reflected the general mood as a low mist clung to the city, sticking to buildings and splattering pedestrians with a light, irritating rain. "Here it is, Trotting Castle." Twilight said looking at the large structure that sat before them, built up from stone. Flags decorated the sides and large buildings towered inside the walls. However, what was most important at the moment was the open draw bridge leading into the castle's vast front garden, where they could see many demons had gathered before a stage.
"Well, we made it." Applejack said walking up next to Twilight, "So what's this here ingredient we need?"
"We need a lock of hair from a powerful bard." Twilight smiled walking towards the stage that had been set up.
"A lock of hair from a bard?" Rainbow Dash said surprised, thinking about it, "That's an ingredient?"
"I know it's a little unusual, but trust me, it's a very important ingredient." Twilight nodded her head.
